Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

“John 14:15-21
15- If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor to be with you for ever - 17- the Spirit of the truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18- I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19- Before long, the world will not see me any more , but you will see me. Because I live, you also live. 20- On that you will realise that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21- Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father; and I too will love him and show myself to him.

26- When the Counsellor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. 27-And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.”

7- But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counsellor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8- When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgement: 9- In regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10- In regard of righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11- and in regard to judgement, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. 12- I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13- But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14- He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15- All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you. 16- In the little while you will see me no more and then after a little while you will see me. ”

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit

Luke 12:10 If you speak against the Son of Man, you can be forgiven, but if you speak against the Holy Spirit, you cannot be forgiven.

Matthew 12:31 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
Matthew 12:32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Mark 3:28 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter,
Mark 3:29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin."
